## Overview
This is the official website for **Lively Lady**, the historic 36ft yacht made famous by **Sir Alec Rose** during his 1968 solo circumnavigation of the globe.

Today, the vessel is maintained by the charity **Around and Around** (Registered Charity No. 1066929). She is used as a training vessel to teach young people seamanship, leadership, and life skills.

- He passed away in 1991, leaving the boat to Portsmouth City Council, and later custodianship was transferred to Around and Around to keep her sailing.
